Profile
Taking its name from the childhood nicknames of sisters and owners Misha and Erin Anderson, Woodley & Bunny is part salon, part lifestyle shop, and part clubhouse for some of the many Williamsburg artists, writers, and dog-owners living nearby. Opened in the summer of 2005, the slickly designed, 2,500-square-foot space features a neat row of seven haircut stations and a large retail-cum-lounge section, stocking accessories, clothes, and an extensive selection of high-end unisex grooming products. Erin—a veteran of city salons as well as celebrity editorial work—handles the salon side, specializing in funky cuts and curly hair styling. Misha—an LA transplant and self-described beauty product junkie—curates the rotating collection of creams, lotions, and potions displayed on vintage tobacco rolling carts. Customers sip complimentary beer and wine while browsing cult skincare lines by Dino Morra and REN, and products like the first collagen-infused body candle, which, when warmed, releases antioxidants and phytochemicals that get directly absorbed into the skin. In addition to a small jewelry display by local designers like Kim Foxman and Ashley Colt, W&B carries one-of-a kind silk-screened tees, plus sweet toys and clothes for dogs.
